Marie-Eve Dumont is involved in a number of First Nations specific claims files before the Specific Claims Tribunal and has represented many residential school survivors from several communities in Quebec in the federal Independent Assessment Process and related class actions.
Marie-Eve Dumont is also teaching the Native Law course at Sherbrooke University during the fall semester of 2018.
During the course of her studies, Marie-Eve Dumont completed an internship with a Montreal criminal law firm (2009-2010) and held many positions at the Quebec Journal of International Law (2004-2010), including the position of executive editor. She also represented the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) at the Charles Rousseau Moot Court Competition in Public International Law, for which her team won the prize for best team (2006); she was also involved in the UQAM’s International Clinic for the Defense of Human Rights (2006).
