Privacy policy for the use of online forms

Dionne Schulze is committed to respecting your right to privacy in accordance with Québec and Canadian law. This policy applies to information collected through our website, www.dionneschulze.ca and is part of our Privacy Policy (full version) available here.

1. What is personal information?

“Personal information” means any information about an individual that can be used to identify that individual. This includes, but is not limited to, an individual’s first and last name, address, email address, telephone number and banking information.

2. How is your personal information collected when you interact with our website?

We may obtain your personal information when you voluntarily provide it to us by completing one of our online forms on our website www.dionneschulze.ca. However, we only ask for the information we need to respond to your request.

We also collect your Internet Protocol (IP) address, which is automatically logged. An IP address alone does not reveal a person’s identity. However, when combined with other automatically collected data, the IP address may become a means of identifying the user, and may therefore be considered personal information, especially when combined with other data that is automatically collected when a user accesses a web page (through the use of cookies). This information may include the name of the page you visit, and the date and time of your visit.

3. Why do we need your personal information?

Forms on our site can help you contact us about a class-action lawsuit and allow you to join our mailing list to receive updates on the case.

Personal information collected in connection with the use of our website, including class action forms, is accessible only to Dionne Schulze personnel or its technology providers for the sole purpose of responding to your request.

We take steps to ensure that the personal information we collect and maintain about you is adequate, relevant, not excessive and used for limited purposes.

4. How do we protect your personal information?

The security of your personal information is important to us. We follow generally accepted and reasonable standards to protect your personal information from loss or theft and from unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification, both at the time of transmission and once we receive it.

If your personal information is transferred outside of Quebec, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is adequately protected in accordance with this policy and applicable laws, including through contractual obligations.

Despite these measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure or error-free. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately using the contact information in section 6. If we become aware of a security breach involving your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as soon as possible, in accordance with applicable laws.

5. Where do we store your personal information?

Once submitted, personal information is stored in a database currently located on our secure server in the United States.

6. How can you contact us with questions about your personal information?
